Symbolic Translation Layer Overview
Purpose: provide a disciplined way to translate subjective internal experience into stable, reviewable system state—without medical diagnosis.
This layer uses a State–Balance–Cycle abstraction inspired by historical systems thinking, but implemented entirely in modern systems language (state variables, equilibrium, transitions, drift).
- Not a medical model: no diagnosis, no treatment recommendations.
- Not a belief system: no ritual, no authority claims.
- Engineering objective: improve narrative replay by making internal context explicit.
Core outputs
- Equilibrium indicators (resource vs demand)
- Transition phase markers (activation→peak→cooldown)
- Interaction graphs (subsystem coupling)
- Capacity/flow constraints (throughput, buffer, recovery)
- Rhythm alignment and drift (weekly/monthly/seasonal)
